Artist born in Montevideo on January 6, 1917.

He studied drawing and painting at the Círculo de Bellas Artes with Prof. Guillermo Laborde from 1933 to 1934 and with teacher Joaquín Torres García from 1945 to 1947.

He made artistic training trips to Brazil (Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro) in 1957; to the USA in 1964 and 1969; several to Argentina; to Chile and Peru in 1959; and to Paraguay in 1964.

He made sixty murals in different techniques (fresco, tempera, Byzantine mosaic, Venetian mosaic, scale and marble pebbles, metals such as: aluminum, copper and bronze) among which the murals of: «Edificios Horizontal» (by Larrañaga and Av. Italia; Solano Antuña and Pedro Berro); «General Inspection of the Air Force» (Mendoza, Argentina); “Banco República Club Building”, etc.

He is the author of the project and direction of the monument to President John F. Kennedy that was built in the Province of La Pampa, Municipality of Quemú Quemú (Argentina), a 40-meter-high work made of cement and located at the crossroads of routes 1 and 12, inaugurated on May 29, 1967.

He held exhibitions in Montevideo, Punta del Este, Las Piedras, Colonia, Fray Bentos, Pan de Azúcar, San José and Florida (in Uruguay); Bahía Blanca, Mar del Plata, Córdoba and Buenos Aires (in Argentina); Porto Alegre, Florianópolis, São Paulo -participating in Biennials I, II and IV- (in Brazil); Quito, Ecuador); Barcelona, ​​Spain); Mexico DF. (Mexico); Amsterdam (Holland); Cairo and Alexandria (Egypt); Damascus (Syria); Prague (Czech Republic); Washington D.C., Baltimore, Austin, Texas, New York (USA) and Berlin (Germany).
