Between 1971 and 1978 he exhibited individually (at the Municipal Hall of Plastic Arts, in the exhibition “Uruguayan Artists of Today”, held in the Vaz Ferreira Room of the National Library, and at the National Hall of Plastic and Visual Arts. ) and also participated in group exhibitions (“Homage to Maestro Joaquín Torres García”, group exhibition of Brazilian artists sponsored by the Pan-American Institute, presenting works in Montevideo, Punta del Este and Buenos Aires). During his extensive career he has restored more of 300 paintings from public and private collections. His work has fluctuated between Concrete Art (some of his work reminded me of the work of María Freire) and MADI Art. After a period of rest and maturation of new projects, Osman Astesiano is preparing to surprise us again with his always welcome art.
